Trailblazing racing driver Alice Powell became the first woman to win a Formula Renault championship, and, in 2012, became the first woman to score points in the GP3 Series. Alice was one of the 18 women selected to compete in the inaugural W Series championship. After an enforced hiatus due the pandemic, Alice returned to the W Series in 2021 to win the opening race of the year at the Red Bull Ring. Alice is a commentator and broadcaster supporting the TV coverage of all motor racing, including Formula 1. She is also a coach mentor, and is currently managing 19-year-old racing driver and Alpine F1 Academy affiliate, Abbi Pulling.
Abbi is already a British Karting Champion and aspires to race in Formula 1. The two met last year, when Abbi made her debut as one of five reserve drivers for the second season of the all-female Formula 3 championship, W Series. Abbi qualified on pole for race one of the season-ending Austin double-header and achieved her first podium with 2nd place the following day – thus securing 7th in the standings and automatic qualification for the 2022 season.
