Vicki Anstey

Entrepreneur turned adventurer

Vicki is a woman of many talents – a fitness professional, a business owner, an adventurer, a motivational speaker, a mentor, and founder of the first UK Barre Fitness Studio, Barreworks. In 2019, she appeared in Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins, which was the catalyst for her undertaking a mid-Pacific Ocean row.

Vicki and her two fellow rowers, the all-female trio Girls Who Dare, became involved with Gazing and the Red2Blue methodology in the lead up to their ocean row. The mindset development programme helped them to structure their mental strength training and manage some of the setbacks of the pandemic. As a crew of three women living in different countries during lockdown, it also helped them to navigate the team dynamics when they couldn’t be together in person. It worked – the team made it to the final and secured a new world record for rowing across the Pacific Ocean!

More recently Vicki participated in a 230km ice ultra foot race through the Arctic. She speaks widely about her experiences and the fears and perceived limitations that have surrounded them.
